I didn't like it that much at first and I'm still not overly impressed with it, but something I've noticed is that I constantly think about playing it every time I'm doing anything that's not Sekiro-related. I was disappointed in it because it's not at all what I expected, but I eventually learned to accept it for what it was.
I will still argue that stealth is generic and broken, (way too many areas can be completely passed by consuming Gachiin's sugar and sprinting through), the A.I is abysmally stupid, only a handful of Shinobi Skills are useful and a lot of the prosthetic tools are very circumstantial, but the combat is stellar and the story is very interesting. It also has consistently great bosses, which is rare for a Souls-type game, where usually about half are great and the rest range from mediocre to shit.
I will say that I much prefer Dark Souls and Bloodborne and that fact constantly forms a dark cloud over my head while I play, but I think I'm in love with it on a subconscious level.
Also Sword Saint Isshin is a badass and I was properly humbled. Took me 4 playthroughs to beat his ass without having to resurrect.
Anyway, Sekiro is a good game. Thanks for stopping by.
